One down, a million to go

I finished one project this week and started about four new ones, in addition to the million others still in progress. But one finished is always cause to celebrate.

This dress started out with a rounded neck piece but it ended up looking too much like a house coat, mostly because of the fabric choice. Since I wanted to wear it outside of the house, a redesign was in order. I kept the gathered neck and back and bound it with bias strips. The shoulders are folded under featuring casings with ties running through. The waist is loose without the ribbon, making the design quicker to accomplish. I still might make a matching belt.

Now it just needs to warm up so I can wear it.
