My First Granny Square

There it is. My first granny square. Isn't it pretty? I used the instructions in Teach Yourself Visually Crocheting. After a few years of struggling with crochet, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I do prefer knitting simply because stitches are kept "active." In knitting it's easier for me to see what needs to happen, basically where I should put the needle.

I've also been making a lot of progress on this and this. I'll post photos when they're done!

  1. That is the best book ever. I struggled before too. I could only crochet flowers or borders. I was definitely more a knitter but now I am working on 3 crochet projects! My book is all tattered now.

  2. What a cute granny square!

I was looking at your free patterns and I think the fabric stash box is a brilliant idea, and most excellent gift to make for a crafter. I definately will have to make some. -e
