Fashion: Tiered Dresses

Tiered Linen Playa Dress (photo from JCrew)
I spotted this relaxed, charming dress on sale at jcrew.com.

Just like the ones in this sheet I tore from the October 2008 issue of Lucky magazine. This could be a fun dress to sew although it would be much easier with a pattern. Butterick B5313 is the most similar one I could find.

Jeans:
I'm very curious to try out GAP's revamped line of jeans, 1969 Premium Denim. They are currently $20 off, averaging $39 or $49 on sale. I'm particularly interested in the Long & Lean and Perfect Boot styles, because they feature a mid-rise as opposed to a low-rise. But I'm not above trying on the Always Skinny Deconstructed Button Jeans. Just check out those ankles!

Knitting:
Knitting Daily posted a new set of free patterns this week (scroll about halfway down and follow the links to download). These bulky slipper socks look sooo cozy. One can never have enough slippers right?
