Baby Cardigan with Moss Stitch

I made this little blue-grey baby cardigan for my friend's Rick and Andrea's baby, Audrey. I used a Debbie Bliss pattern that is available for free (Ravelry page). I love the classic design. It looks like something that could have been designed 60 years ago. Check out the All About You website for more free knitting patterns.

The yarn is Glaciar Del Cielo by Aslan Trends. The yarn is a very soft sport weight cotton. Cotton seems like the best fiber for babies doesn't it? Easy to care for and not itchy. The no-wool factor is nice for my fingers as well, since I seem to have developed a wool sensitivity.

It's a fairly easy pattern to make. The only parts that may be difficult for a beginner are the pockets and the neckline. I redid the buttonhole once because it didn't come out right the first time. If you haven't made a sweater before a baby sweater could be a nice way to start. See this project on Ravelry.
