Blouson Dress

I developed the pattern for this dress by copying one I bought from the thrift store. I know this fabric is challenging to work with from previous experience so I wanted to make something very simple. For the neckline and hems, I attached folded strips of bias binding.

To create the blouson waist, I made a lining for the skirt and bodice and stitched the folded edge of the dress to the waist seam with the lining. I only kind of like the dress. It essentially turned out the way I wanted but it's not terribly flattering.
