Simplicity 2497 Cynthia Rowley

Simplicity 2497 View C designed by Cynthia Rowley
I finished this dress a few weeks ago and have yet to wear it. I really like it. It's a very wearable silhouette although the neckline is rather low and the ruffle may not be for everyone. I recommend the pattern and would use it again.
The fabric is a sheer, probably polyester, that I bought from Jo-Ann's a couple of years ago.
The ruffle is applied through the center. I finished the edges of the ruffle with a 3 thread overlock. I didn't have quite enough fabric (only about 2 yards) and had to piece the ruffle in one place.

  3. Thank you! I was a little worried that polka dots plus the ruffles created a clownish effect. :)
