I finished this dress a few weeks ago and have yet to wear it. I really like it. It's a very wearable silhouette although the neckline is rather low and the ruffle may not be for everyone. I recommend the pattern and would use it again.
The fabric is a sheer, probably polyester, that I bought from Jo-Ann's a couple of years ago.
The ruffle is applied through the center. I finished the edges of the ruffle with a 3 thread overlock. I didn't have quite enough fabric (only about 2 yards) and had to piece the ruffle in one place.
It looks great! I've been wanting to try this dress for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI love the polka dot fabric that you used on this dress! I can't wait to give this pattern a try myself.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was a little worried that polka dots plus the ruffles created a clownish effect. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lovely dress and it looks very good on you!
