A sampling of some things that didn't make it into yesterday's post.
Vintage fabric, button covers and a rainbow of bias tape
books and magazines:
The Family of Man is a book of photographs from a MOMA exhibit
vintage cooking book, for my collection
Papier Mache book for my brother
Another cooking book for a friend's collection
A sewing book and a knitting book, which is mostly what I read these days.
Thank goodness I'm in a book club that reads books without pictures (and instructions and diagrams).
...and the magazines, I really bought so much stuff.
I left for my trip with one small bag and returned with two LARGE ones.
I'm pretty pleased with the Sew Stylish magazine. It's all about making formal wear. I'm going to be making my future sister-in-law's wedding dress this year so I'm eager to read up on the subject. I always love Vogue Knitting. For every zany thing I would never make there's something gorgeous that I want to make immediately. I use my Vogue Knitting patterns more than any other magazine.
