How to DIY – Animal Print Tunic

Yesterday, I shared a moodboard of Not Your Average Animal Prints. This dress fits that bill completely. Navy and pink leopard print? Definitely not average. And I love the mix of small and large scale in the pattern. I also really like the design of this dress. The longer sleeves complement the short curved hem quite nicely. The design is very simple and would be quite easy to sew yourself. You could probably start this in morning and have it ready to wear that night.

How to DIY an Animal Print Tunic Dress

Step 1 Today's inspiration is the Neon Animal Tunic Dress from TopShop. This is a very easy dress to wear and perfect for showing off your legs. Or if you're feeling a little more modest, wear it over leggings.

Step 2 Colette's Laurel pattern is an almost perfect fit for this dress. The only changes you'll need to make are to add a little length to the sleeves and create a curved hem. And maybe raise the neckline a smidge.

Step 3 This brightly colored tiger stripe fabric from Mood Fabrics is a poly-blend that would be great for this dress.
