Fall Sewing No. 3 Orange Printed Pants

I finished these crazy orange printed pants just in time for Halloween last week. I didn't wear them for the holiday because I would have died if someone asked me what my costume was and I had to say, "What? You think these pants are a costume?". That said, I think these pants are really fun and I hope I get some good use out of them.

I based the pattern for these pants on Vogue V8657 which I also used during my Spring Wardrobe sewing with a knit fabric. I redrew the pattern, making the same adjustments I did for the knit pants and tapering the legs. These pants are super fast to make. There are just four pleats in the front and the waistband is gathered with elastic.

My styling here is heavily inspired by this outfit which I really, really love. Here I'm wearing my fancy new pants with:

Draped Sweater (similar here and here)
White T-shirt from J.Crew
Leather Belt (similar here and here)
Grey Booties from Sole Society
