Rounding out this week's theme of Edgy Glam, I have some super cool jewelry pieces and a fun manicure to share with you. A few weeks ago, the lovely folks over at Rings & Tings offered to let me try out some of their jewelry pieces. They have a great selection of affordable, fashion-forward jewelry and fashion pieces so of course was delighted to oblige. I chose three pieces: the wave ring set, the crescent bib necklace and the black check earrings. I love all of the items and have been making good use of wearing them out.
The bib necklace is definitely a statement piece for when you want to be noticed. I think it looks best with an open collar or a turtleneck so that the lines of the necklace do not cross over the lines of your top. I would totally wear this necklace with my DIY animal print leggings, some booties and a sharp jacket. And aren't those earrings just fun, cool and kind of 80s? These accessories are perfect for adding a little glam to an ordinary outfit or for making your daytime look nighttime ready.
To go with the super fun stacking rings, I painted my nails a combo of pale blush and hot pink. In case you're wondering, the rings only come in one size and I have relatively small fingers. My ring finger is about a size 6. These rings fit perfectly on my pointer finger and I love wearing them there. They're chunky and fun and little punk.
So onto the nails. These are very easy to do. Just paint a base coat of blush on all fingers. Let dry then paint half of each nail hot pink. I alternated which side I painted pink. Then do a second coat of blush on the other (not pink) side. Finish with a topcoat. The blush polish I used is Wet n Wild Megalast 204B. The hot pink is Ruby Wing in Kitten Heels. I received it as part of my Birchbox subscription (which I love by the way). The nail polish subtly changes color in different kinds of light. I love the combo of hot pink with the edgy glam jewelry from Rings & Tings. I'm definitely going to be wearing more of it this year. Thank you Rings & Tings!
